The Prime Minister of Curacao, Gerrit Scholte, has awarded Pastor Cherrel Francisca with a special prize for his involvement in the Antillean community both in the Netherlands and Curacao. Curacao is an independent land within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Pastor Cherrel Francisca is associate Church Growth Coordinator of the Netherlands Union and also pastor of the Adventist church in Delft (Alivio).

During a special programme on 15th December in the Hague, the Netherlands, Pastor Francisca, as the guest speaker for the occasion speaking about the theme “Wise men are still looking for Jesus” (Mat. 2:2-12), was surprised that he was one ofthe recipients of the award.
Pastor Francisca is a well known speaker, author and TV presenter on Curacao both inside and outside the church. His books on education and the upbringing of children are especially appreciated.
“We are very pleased with this recognition because Pastor Francisca – together with the Alivio Adventist church – is successful in connecting with the community. He has shown through his publications and ministry great love and care for people in the community in giving them guidance on very practical issues (how to be a good mother or father, how to find a job, how to support your family)” says Pastor Wim Altink, President of the Netherlands Union Conference.
