Countries
From the breathtaking glaciers in the north to the sun-washed shorelines of the south; from the lush glens of Greenland in the west to the great ice-capped mountains in the east the Trans-European Division (TED) sparkles with diversity. Encompassing 22 countries and a myriad of languages and cultures, this division teems with a fusion of fascinating peoples and beliefs, awe-inspiring landscapes and an abundance of mouth-watering foods.
The Trans-European Division's beauty, whether found in its people, cultures or landscapes, is magnified by its diversity and upheld in its unity. In a place of great cultural division, Seventh-day Adventism is building bridges of hope.
Being a Seventh-day Adventist is like being part of a large family. Wherever we go, there is always someone to welcome us, and we feel at home with our brothers and sisters as we serve them.
Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area, covering only about two percent of the Earth's surface. In terms of population, however, it is the third-largest continent (after Asia and Africa) with a population of some 710,000,000, or about eleven percent of the world's population.
